Wyoming: online casino, sweepstakes and sports betting law

Wyoming allows online sports betting but not online casino games. W.S. 6-7-102 treats gambling as a misdemeanor unless a law expressly permits it, and the one online form the state permits is sports wagering, regulated by the Wyoming Gaming Commission under W.S. 9-24-101 and following. The Wyoming Lottery Corporation, created by the Wyoming Lottery Act, runs the state lottery. We found no ban that covers sweepstakes casinos.

Real-money online casino

Not legal

There is no legal online casino. Under Wyo. Stat. 6-7-101, gambling means staking property for a gain that depends on chance, whether on a game, a gambling device or an event you don't control, with exceptions for listed activities and anything a law expressly allows. Under 6-7-102 gambling is a misdemeanor, with up to six months in jail and a $750 fine. Online sports wagering (W.S. 9-24-101 and following) is the online form the law allows.

Sweepstakes casinos

No ban found

Wyoming's gambling article (Wyo. Stat. Title 6, Chapter 7, Article 1) never mentions sweepstakes, and we found nothing in it that bans online sweepstakes casinos (checked 19 Oct 2026).
