Louisiana: online casino, sweepstakes and sports betting law

Sports betting apps are licensed in Louisiana, and 10 of them appear on the Gaming Control Board's list. Casino games online are a different story, because R.S. 14:90.3 makes gambling by computer a crime. From 1 August 2026, HB 883 and HB 53 extend that reach to dual-currency sweepstakes casinos.
