New Mexico: online casino, sweepstakes and sports betting law
New Mexico has no online sports betting and no online casino. You can place a sports bet in person at a tribal casino that runs a sportsbook, according to the Gaming Control Board, and state law has opened no other route. The Board says gambling is illegal unless a law specifically allows it, and that it licenses no online gambling at all. Its guidance contains no sweepstakes ban, which is as far as our check could go.

Real-money online casino
Not legal
Not legal. The Gaming Control Board says gambling is illegal in New Mexico unless a law specifically allows it, citing the Gaming Control Act (60-2E-4) and the Criminal Code (30-19-1 to 30-19-15). The Board adds that neither it nor the state licenses or approves any internet gambling.

Sweepstakes casinos
No ban found
As of 19 Oct 2026, the gambling guidance published by the Gaming Control Board contains no ban on online sweepstakes casinos that we could find. In the Board's description, a sweepstakes is a business promotion that has to offer a free way to enter, and gambling is illegal unless a law allows it. We could not load chapter 30, article 19 itself from the official compilation.
