New slot data

Every month we count what the calendar logged. Only figures we could check go in. A game with no published RTP counts as a release but not towards the RTP range.

How the numbers work

These are our own counts from the calendar, not industry totals. A game counts once, in the month it reached US players (our first lobby sighting or a US casino's launch announcement), or in its global release month if it hasn't reached the US yet. Each month page shows releases by provider, how many reached a US lobby, the median and spread of published RTPs, the biggest maximum win and the most-used mechanics.

Only figures we read at the source go in. When a game has several RTP settings, it counts at its highest one. A game with no published RTP still counts as a release, but not towards the RTP figures, and each month page says which fields providers published least. Closed months have a written summary. The current month is marked "in progress" and changes as games are added.

For where each figure comes from, see how we compile the calendar and what RTP means.

A game goes in the calendar on the date it was first seen in the US. If it hasn’t reached a US lobby yet, it goes in on its release date. A game announced without a confirmed date sits in the coming-soon list until a date is published.

Game write-ups and news stories are written by the BNCG editors from primary sources: the provider’s game page or announcement, the casino’s own release, or the regulator or statute for law stories. Each one lists its sources at the end. We don’t use review sites as sources.
