Washington: online casino, sweepstakes and sports betting law

Washington treats online gambling as a felony. RCW 9.46.240 makes it a class C felony to send or receive gambling information over the internet, so online casinos are out, and in practice so are online sweepstakes casinos. Tribal casinos on Indian lands are the only legal place to bet on sports, under their gaming compacts, and there is no online option.
