South Carolina: online casino, sweepstakes and sports betting law
South Carolina's only authorized gambling is the South Carolina Education Lottery, and the law that created it rules out casino gambling. Online casinos aren't legal, and neither is sports betting, since Code 16-19-130 bans bookmaking and recording bets. The state's gambling chapter has no ban on sweepstakes casinos that we found.

Real-money online casino
Not legal
Not legal. Gaming with cards, dice, gaming tables or gambling machines is barred by South Carolina Code 16-19-40, and lotteries by 16-19-10. Under the Education Lottery Act (59-150), only lottery games are authorized, and its definition leaves out casino gambling, keno and pari-mutuel betting. We found no law permitting online casinos.
