Utah: online casino, sweepstakes and sports betting law
Utah bans gambling outright, online included, so there is no legal online casino or sportsbook. Utah Code 76-9-1402 and 76-9-1404 together serve as the state's gambling ban, and anyone who offers online gambling to someone in the state commits a third degree felony. In 2026, Chapter 410 amended Utah's gambling definitions, which cover sweepstakes and fringe gaming devices, and those rules reach sweepstakes casinos.
