Ohio: online casino, sweepstakes and sports betting law
Ohio lets you bet on sports online with a licensed app, but it has no legal online casino. Under Ohio Revised Code 2915.02, any scheme of chance is banned unless a law expressly allows it. The state's sweepstakes rules deal with terminal machines at physical sites and never mention online sweepstakes casinos, so we found no ban aimed at them.

Real-money online casino
Not legal
Not legal. Ohio Revised Code 2915.02 forbids running or promoting a for-profit game of chance or any scheme of chance, unless a law expressly allows it. Chapter 3772 links casino gaming to the casino facilities named in the Ohio Constitution. The Casino Control Commission oversees sports gaming, fantasy contests, skill-based amusement machines and casino gaming.
